Les stimuli visuels ont un impact \u00e9motionnel bien plus important et restent bien plus longtemps \u00e0 l&rsquo;esprit que les textes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>La th\u00e9orie du \u00ab\u00a0double codage\u00a0\u00bb, propos\u00e9e par les psychologues Allan Paivio et Kalman Csapo \u00e0 la suite d&rsquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/pii\/0010028573900327\">exp\u00e9riences sur la m\u00e9moire<\/a>, est un moyen d&rsquo;expliquer la sup\u00e9riorit\u00e9 des supports visuels en la mati\u00e8re.\u00a0 De fait, cette th\u00e9orie sugg\u00e8re que lorsque notre m\u00e9moire souhaite r\u00e9cup\u00e9rer l\u2019information cod\u00e9e pour se souvenir de quelque-chose, elle a plus de facilit\u00e9s \u00e0 \u00ab\u00a0retrouver\u00a0\u00bb les images. En effet, celles-ci sont doublement cod\u00e9es car on leur assigne des associations verbales ainsi que des significations visuelles et s\u00e9mantiques.
