The Status quo bias is our tendency to prefer that things stay as they are and to avoid making changes to our habits. This psychological bias can be explained by a fear of change. It’s the mentality that results in you becoming trapped in an uncompetitive phone contract, in a reluctance to try new products… or even in a missed opportunity to increase your online sales because you’d rather not make any changes to your website!
